Aloe Vera After Sun Spray

Our skin consists of more than 70% water. It can dry out and become damaged considerably from the sun. Hydrate and repair your skin yourself with the help of your homemade Aloe Vera Aftersun Spray. Lavender Water and Witch Hazel cool the skin and provide it with a substantial hydration boost. The moisture-attracting properties of the Papaya Glycerite ensure that the moisture penetrates deeper through the skin. Allantoin and D-Panthenol strengthen and soften the skin surface. And Aloe vera helps the skin to repair after sunbathing. Hello glowy skin!

Mix all the ingredients from phase A together in a measuring cup and stir well into a homogeneous mixture.

Weigh out the ingredients from phase B neatly and mix them together in a separate bowl.

Pour a little of phase A into phase B and then add phase B to phase A. Mix it together with a mini electric mixer, a mini whisk or with a disinfected fork or spoon.

Measure the pH of your spray and make sure it is between 5.0 and 5.5.

Is your pH too low? Then raise it with a Baking Soda solution. (1 part Baking Soda, 9 parts Demineralised Water)

Is your pH too high? Then adjust it with a Citric Acid solution. (1 part Citric Acid with 9 parts Demineralised water)

Add the preservative from phase C.

Measure the pH and make sure it comes out between 5.0 and 5.5 again.

Pour your homemade Aloe Vera Aftersun Spray into a bottle with a spray cap. Store it in a cool and dry place. Or put it in the fridge for an extra refreshing effect.

Provided you use the preservative, this spray will keep for at least 6 months. If you make it without a preservative, then this spray will keep for 3 weeks.
