Manuka - the secret of the Maori
The indigenous inhabitants of New Zealand, the Maori, have used the manuka bush for
centuries for its beneficial properties. The essential oil is obtained through steam distillation of the branches, leaves and flowers of the manuka bush, while keeping the mother plant intact.
Manuka oil works purifying and nourishes your skin in case of excessive sebum production and impurities, for an even skin tone.
Usage
To optimally benefit from the wonderful properties of this essential oil, dilute 1% of the manuka essential oil in a carrier oil. Applying essential oil directly to the skin without dilution is not recommended. Essential oils evaporate quickly and dry out the skin considerably if not dissolved in a carrier oil, which also reduces the effectiveness.
For example, add 1 ml of manuka essential oil to 100 ml of jojoba oil and massage this morning and evening onto your cleansed skin where needed.
To support the scalp, you can also add a few drops to your shampoo.
