Rose Geranium - a heavenly scent bouquet
Rose geranium is a beautiful flower with a lovely rosy scent, which makes this
essential oil ideal as a relaxer. The shrub is also called lemon geranium because the flowers have both the sultry scent of roses and the freshness of lemon. Thanks to that fantastic combination, the oil works soothingly and uplifting, making it a pleasant scent to inhale when feeling down or experiencing anxiety complaints.
Rose geranium oil has a skin-restorative effect and can be used to reduce pimples and calm restless skin. Additionally, rose geranium has a healing effect on scars and minor burns. If you quickly get irritated skin from shaving or epilating, then rose geranium essential oil has a nourishing effect and helps the skin recover.
Use
When using essential oil on your skin, always dilute it in a carrier oil or butter, such as almond or jojoba oil, and don't use more than 1 - 2% (1 - 2ml essential oil per 100ml carrier oil).
Apply the oil where needed on cleansed skin. For use on oily scalp and hair (or simply because it smells wonderful) you can also add a few drops of rose geranium essential oil to your shampoo.
To inhale the essential oil or when using it as air freshener, use it in an oil lamp/diffuser or a scent block. To use the essential oil in the bath, mix a few drops of rose geranium oil with a neutral bath gel or bath oil.
