What is Anise Essential Oil?

Anise Essential Oil is obtained through steam distillation of anise seeds (pimpinella anisum). Anise Essential Oil is not the same as Star Anise Essential Oil (illicium verum), which is extracted from the seeds of the Chinese magnolia tree.
