What is Pink Pepper Essential Oil?

Pink Pepper Essential Oil is obtained through steam distillation of the dried berries of Schinus molle, the Peruvian pepper tree. The trees grow wild in South America. The scent is warm, spicy and lightly sweet with a sparkling pepper note. The oil is full of monoterpenes such as limonene, myrcene and alpha-pinene. Good for clear, pure skin and for fresh focus in the diffuser.

How do you use Pink Pepper Essential Oil?

Face: Formulate at 0.2–0.5% in the oil phase or mix 1–3 drops in 30ml carrier oil. In emulsions add in the cooling phase under 40°C.

Body and massage: Use 0.5–1% in a plant oil or body lotion. Never use undiluted on the skin.

Spot treatment: Mix 1 drop in 10ml base oil and dab sparingly on the skin.

Diffuser: Use 2–5 drops in water. Combines beautifully with citrus, conifer or lavender.

Scalp: Mix 3–5 drops in 50ml light oil, massage in and leave for 10–20 minutes. Then wash out.
