Peppermint Oil - essential in your bathroom cabinet
The high menthol content of Peppermint Oil has a cooling and refreshing effect, making it an ideal ingredient in your DIY toothpaste - and it naturally gives a nice flavor!
After exercising, it's also wonderful to apply oil with a few drops of peppermint oil diluted with a carrier oil to your tired muscles. The peppermint improves circulation and reduces tension.
Use and tips
Always mix essential oil with a carrier oil, such as olive oil, almond oil or jojoba oil. Use approximately 1 - 2% essential oil in your products (so 1 - 2 grams peppermint oil per 100 grams almond oil for example). Peppermint oil can be quite strong so make sure you dose it properly.
Peppermint Oil blends well with basil, bergamot, cajeput, cedarwood, eucalyptus, lemon, lime, mandarin, marjoram, niaouli, pine, rosemary and thyme essential oil.
