Prepare all your tools and equipment and make sure everything is cleaned.

Put a pan of water on medium-high heat if you do not have a hotplate.

Measure out all your ingredients. Combine each phase in a separate heat-resistant measuring cup.

Add 2 to 3 grams more liquid to your Phase C and note the weight including the measuring cup. Subtract the excess liquid you added earlier to get the exact weight required by the formula.

Heat Phase A and C.

Once Phase A has fully melted, weigh Phase C to make sure it is exactly the desired weight as noted earlier. Add more liquid if needed.

Check the temperature. Both should be at 75 degrees Celsius or at least no more than 5 degrees Celsius apart.

Turn off the heat. Add Phase B to Phase A, followed by Phase C, and mix with a stick blender. Pulse for 5-10 seconds or until it becomes cloudy, which indicates that the mixture has emulsified.

Take the beaker out of the pan and stir until it cools down.

Once the temperature is 40 degrees Celsius, start adding the cool-down phase. Start with Phase D and then slowly add Phase E.

Stir gently until you reach room temperature.

Measure the pH. Use an acid such as lactic acid solution to lower the pH or a base such as sodium bicarbonate solution to raise it until you reach the desired pH of 5.0 to 5.5.

Put it in a jar or a bottle with a pump and label your creation.

Usage

After cleansing the skin, dry it lightly to remove excess water and apply a generous amount of the cream to the area. Rinse well afterwards or use a damp soft cloth to remove the excess product on the skin after shaving.
