What is Melt and Pour Soap?

Melt and Pour Soap is a ready-to-use, transparent soap base made from organic certified plant oils and natural glycerine. You cut the base into chunks, melt it, add fragrance and colour, and pour it into a mould.

The fragrance is subtle and neutral, with a soft undertone. This allows the base to combine beautifully with essential oils, herbs or flower extracts. The clear, jewel-like appearance makes dyes, dried flowers or scrub particles beautifully visible.

The glycerine and plant sugars in the base attract moisture and keep skin supple. The soap cleanses thoroughly, but doesn't feel tight or dry. Ideal for hand soaps, body soaps, scrub bars or beautiful homemade gifts.

How do you use Melt and Pour Soap?

Melting: Cut the base into small chunks. Melt using a bain marie or in short intervals in the microwave until the base is liquid (around 55-60 °C). Do not boil.

Fragrance: Add 0.5-2% essential oil and stir gently.

Colour and extras: Add dye (0.1-0.5%), clay or dried flowers. Stir gently to prevent air bubbles.

Pouring and curing: Pour into a clean mould and allow to cure for 4-6 hours (longer for larger bars). Unmould and wrap the soap airtight in foil to prevent glycerine bloom.
