What is Anise Essential Oil?
The licorice-like scent of Anise Essential Oil works uplifting and refreshing. The aroma helps you breathe more freely again and the oil soothes and relaxes the muscles.
Anise Essential Oil is obtained through steam distillation of anise seeds (pimpinella anisum). Anise Essential Oil is not the same as Star Anise Essential Oil (illicium verum), which is obtained from the seeds of the Chinese magnolia tree.

Soothes the muscles
Anise essential oil soothes and relaxes muscles throughout the body. Mix a few drops of the oil with a carrier oil and massage your muscles with it after exercise or your lower abdomen during menstrual discomfort. Suffering from stress? Include your forehead in the massage as well.
To breathe more freely
When you diffuse the oil in a diffuser, Anise Essential Oil provides relief to the respiratory tract and helps you breathe more freely again. You can also apply some oil or balm with Anise Essential Oil to your chest for extra relief, or smell the bottle and inhale the aroma deeply.
Increases resistance against unfavorable fungi
Anise Essential Oil can increase your resistance against fungi. Diffuse the oil regularly in a diffuser or give yourself a body massage with Anise Essential Oil mixed in a carrier oil.
For bad breath
Anise has a refreshing effect on the breath when you process the oil into a mouthwash. After the meal, rinse briefly (and spit out) and your breath is wonderfully fresh again.
