Description

Why is Açai Berry Oil so good?
Before we discuss all the good properties of this tropical berry, we need to talk about the pronunciation: assa-ie berry. Besides a tricky pronunciation, this berry also has a special meaning: 'fruit that cries'.
The fatty acids palmitic acid, oleic acid and linoleic acid intensely nourish the skin, keep it supple and absorb well.
The phenols in the oil ensure that damage from free radicals is prevented. This damage plays a major role in, for example, skin aging.
How is Açai Berry Oil made?
This small berry grows on açai palm trees along the banks of the Amazon region in South America. They have a deep dark purple skin and yellow flesh around the enormous pit. As much as 80% of the berry consists of pit. To make oil from it, these large pits are collected and cold-pressed. During cold pressing, the pits are not heated and all valuable properties of the seeds remain intact.
How to use it:
You can apply açai berry oil daily to your face and body. Massage the oil gently into your skin with circular movements so that your skin absorbs it well. You can also let the oil penetrate your hair and then rinse it out well with shampoo. Your hair will be intensely nourished. Açai berry oil is also very good to mix with other oils and butters to make various DIY recipes. Think of a homemade ointment or cream.
