Make yourself a nice cup of tea and make sure you are working in a calm, tidy space.

Fill a thick-bottomed pan with water and put it on the heat.

Place a glass measuring beaker in it or hang a melting pan in it.

Weigh all your ingredients carefully before you start.

Warm the Chamomile water from phase A in a glass measuring beaker to about 70°C.

Place a second glass measuring beaker in the water bath and melt the Murumuru Butter, Açaí Berry Oil, Natural Emulsifier (Vegetal / Montanov 68) and Cetyl Alcohol gently together in it; you add the Ximenia Oil later.

When the oil phase reaches 70°C, add the Ximenia Oil and keep the temperature around 70°C.

Meanwhile, mix the Xanthan Gum with the Glycerine in a small measuring beaker into a smooth paste without lumps.

In a separate small measuring beaker, mix the D-Panthenol with the Sodium PCA and set this aside.

When both the oil and the water phase have reached 70°C, pour the oil phase calmly into the Chamomile water while you keep stirring with a mini whisk.

Keep stirring until the cream begins to thicken and, if necessary, use a mini electric whisk to form a beautiful, creamy emulsion.

Add the mixture of Xanthan Gum and Glycerine and keep stirring calmly.

Let the emulsion cool down to below 40°C while stirring, for example by placing the measuring beaker in a cold water bath.

Add the mixture of D-Panthenol and Sodium PCA and stir well.

Add Preservative Eco (Geogard ECT) and mix carefully.

Measure the pH; it should be between 5.0 and 5.5 so that the cream is pleasant for the skin and the preservative can work optimally.

If you need to adjust the pH, use a 10% solution of Citric Acid in Demineralised Water to lower it or a 10% solution of Sodium Bicarbonate in Demineralised Water to raise it.
Always add a maximum of 1 drop at a time, stir well and wait at least 1 minute before measuring again. The pH does not react immediately, so take your time to check before adding another drop.
With 100 grams of cream, 1 drop changes the pH on average by about 0.1–0.15 pH points. Work carefully and avoid adjusting too much.

Then add Hinoki Essential Oil, Sweet Orange Essential Oil, Bergamot Essential Oil (Furocoumarin-Free) and Rosemary Extract and stir everything calmly and carefully.

Check the pH one more time and spoon the Yūgen Cream into a clean jar, let it cool down completely and only then close the lid.

Usage
Apply a small amount to clean skin and massage in calmly. Suitable for both face and body. For the face you can use it as a nourishing night cream or as a day cream for very dry skin. For the body it is especially nice on hands, neck and legs.
Ideal for the dry, more mature or dull skin that needs extra nourishment and protection against wind, cold or dry air.
