  2. Lavender Micellar Water
Lavender Micellar Water

Forget synthetic cleansers that dry out your skin and disrupt your sebum production and make your micellar water yourself! This special little water effectively removes make-up and impurities without clogging the skin and leaves it fresh and clean. In addition, you save plastic bottles and a whole lot of euros. A no brainer, right? This fresh Micellar water is suitable for every skin type, but in particular for oily and impure skin. The astringent action of Lavender helps with impurities and Lemon Balm calms rough and chapped skin. Glycerine attracts moisture and gives your skin a hydrated feeling and MSM powder helps to reduce the chance of pimples.

Instructions

1
Mix all the ingredients from phase A together in a measuring cup and stir well until everything is mixed. You can do this with a spoon or with an electric mixer.
2
Weigh out the ingredients from phase B neatly and mix them together. Then add them to phase A.
3
Weigh out the ingredients from phase B neatly and mix them together. Then add them to phase A.
4
Measure the pH of your micellar water and make sure it is between 5.0 and 5.5. Do this with our pH strips or pH meter.
5
Is your pH too low? Then raise it with a Baking Soda solution. (1 part Baking Soda, 9 parts Demineralised Water)
6
Is your pH too high? Then adjust it with a Citric Acid solution. (1 part Citric Acid with 9 parts Demineralised water)
7

Add the preservative from phase D. 1% preservative in this recipe is sufficient because both hydrosols already contain a preservative as well. Please note, if you use hydrosols without a preservative, then use 2 to 4% preservative and deduct this from the amount of hydrosol.

8
Measure the pH and make sure it comes out between 5.0 and 5.5 again.
9
Pour your homemade Micellar Water into a bottle with a spray cap. Then spray directly onto the face or onto a cotton pad to cleanse the face. Rinsing afterwards is not necessary.
10
Provided you use the preservative, this spray will keep for at least 6 months. Store it in your bathroom cabinet or in a cool and dry place.
