Antibacterial

Leucidal® SF Complete owes its antibacterial effect to the Lactobacillus bacteria, a bacteria that limits the growth of other microorganisms, including E. Coli and C. Albicans.

Antifungal

The antifungal effect of Leucidal® SF Complete is created by fermenting coconut with the Lactobacillus bacteria. Coconut Oil is used in many traditional medicines for treating various ailments, as coconut oil supports the skin's self-healing ability and increases resistance against unfavorable bacteria and fungi in the intestines. Coconut oil consists largely of MCTs 'medium chain triglycerides' that naturally have an antifungal effect.

Moisturizing

What's unique about Leucidal® SF Complete is that besides having antimicrobial properties, it also has moisturizing and hydrating qualities. The agent is therefore perfect for use in products for skin and hair! Also for sensitive skin, because Leucidal® SF Complete doesn't irritate. Always test your homemade product with Leucidal® SF Complete on a small patch of skin first, of course.

How do you use it?

You add Leucidal® SF Complete to your homemade care product during the cooling phase (below 70 degrees Celsius). Make sure your finished product has a pH value between 3 or 8 to keep Leucidal® SF Complete intact.

Use some citric acid diluted in water if needed to lower the pH value or some baking soda diluted with water to raise it. Test the pH value of your creation with a pH strip.

Leucidal® SF Complete dissolves in water and works together with xanthan gum (amount not higher than 1%).

Store in a dark place at room temperature between 10°-25°C. Once opened, Leucidal® SF Complete stays good for 12 months.

What's so special about Leucidal® SF Complete?

Unlike other natural preservatives, Leucidal® SF Complete can be combined with a small amount of xanthan gum. The liquid also maintains the stability of your product and has a stronger antifungal effect than most preservatives.

Many natural preservatives don't work well at a pH value higher than 5, while Leucidal® SF Complete remains effective up to a pH value of 8. Above all, Leucidal® SF Complete is virtually odorless, unlike the strong medicinal smell that some other natural preservatives contain.
