Instructions

Make sure you have all your tools and supplies ready and that everything is clean.

Put your hot plate and pan with a layer of water on medium heat if you do not have a hot plate.

Measure out all your ingredients. Combine each phase in a separate heat-resistant container or beaker.

Note the weight of Phase B, including the container, so that we can top up the evaporated water after heating

Heat Phase A until the Biosmooth has completely melted. You can stir during heating to melt it evenly.

Once Phase A has completely melted, start heating Phase B in the same pan.

Check the temperature. As soon as Phase B is at 70 degrees Celsius, weigh and top up the lost water content until you reach the desired weight noted earlier.

Put it back in the pan or on the hot plate and wait until it is at 70 degrees Celsius again.

Pour Phase B into Phase A and mix using a stick blender. Pulse for 5-10 seconds or until it turns white, which indicates the mixture has emulsified.

Turn off the heat but keep the beaker in the pan.

Stir for 5 minutes and then take the beaker out of the pan. Stir until it cools down.

When the temperature is at 40 degrees Celsius, start adding the cool-down phase. Begin with Phase C, followed by D and E.

Mix gently until room temperature is reached.

Measure the pH. Use an acid such as lactic acid solution to lower the pH or a base such as sodium bicarbonate solution to raise it until you reach the desired pH of 4.0 to 4.5.

Put it into a jar or a pump bottle and label your creation.

Usage

Wet your hair and apply a generous amount to your hair, starting from the roots to the tips. Leave it to absorb for 5 to 10 minutes before rinsing it out.
