Make sure all your equipment is ready and that everything has been sanitised. Note: Wear a face mask to prevent inhalation of dust. This is irritating to the airways. Also make sure there are no pets or children in the same room while making it.

Set everything out and weigh everything out neatly.

Mix the powders from phase A together in a large bowl.

Pour all the other phases into the powder one by one.

Mix everything together with a whisk or spatula.

Put on your gloves and use your hands to mix all the phases well. This process is similar to kneading dough.

Scrape up any leftovers sticking to the sides with a spatula and keep kneading until you have a firm dough.

Shape the bar into a ball with your hands and then press it flat.

Leave your bar to cure at room temperature for about 2 days before using it. Keep it out of the reach of children and babies.

Test whether the bar has cured by pressing on it. If it is no longer soft, then your bar is ready! You can now use it!

Usage

Wet the soap and rub it between your hands or directly onto your hair to make it lather. Massage the lather into your scalp and work towards the tips of your hair. Rinse out well. Make sure the soap can dry/drain properly after each use.
