Make sure you have all your supplies ready and that everything is properly clean.

Set your hob and pan with a centimetre of water over medium heat if you do not have an electric hob.

Prepare and measure Phase A (water and hydrolysed wheat protein) in a heat-resistant container. Mix well.

Prepare Phase B (glycerine and cationic guar gum) in a separate container. Mix well and set aside.

Prepare and measure Phase C (Bioquat Natural Conditioner Liquid, Glyceryl Caprylate Caprate, cetyl alcohol, Olivem 1000, mango butter) in a heat-resistant container.

Prepare and measure Phase D (Geogard ECT and essential oil). Set aside.

Heat Phase A and Phase C until both phases reach 75 degrees Celsius. Mix Phase C while heating it to combine all the ingredients.

When Phase C is fully melted and the temperature is at 75 degrees Celsius, combine all three phases (A, B and C).

Turn off the heat and remove the beaker from the pan.

Mix with a stick blender. Pulse for 5-10 seconds or until it turns cloudy, which indicates that the mix has emulsified.

Keep stirring with a spatula until it cools down to 40 degrees Celsius.

Add Phase D and mix until everything is well combined.

Stir gently until you reach room temperature.

Measure the pH. It should be between 4.0 and 4.5.

Use an acid such as lactic acid solution to lower the pH, or a base such as sodium bicarbonate or sodium hydroxide to raise it, until you have the desired pH.

Pour it into a bottle with a pump and label your creation.
