  2. Coffee Latte Scrub
Coffee Latte Scrub
A warm, nourishing cleansing scrub that melts as soon as it touches your skin. Cocoa butter, roasted coffee oil and shea give your face a soft, nourishing treatment, while fine bamboo powder gently removes dullness and dead skin cells. On contact with water the oil turns into a silky-soft milk that rinses off effortlessly, without drying out your skin. The sweet vanilla makes it a little moment of luxury.

Instructions

1
Set out all your tools and disinfect everything well. A clean workspace is the basis for a beautiful, long-lasting product.
2
Put a thick-bottomed pan of water on, or get out your heating plate. This becomes your gentle au bain-marie in which the butters will melt calmly later.
3
Weigh all your ingredients carefully and divide them per phase across separate beakers.
4
Place the beaker with Phase A in the warm water bath and let the Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Roasted Coffee Oil, Jojoba Oil and O2M melt calmly together into a clear, warm oil. Stir gently from time to time until everything is completely liquid and starts to smell lovely of coffee and cocoa.
5
Turn off the heat and take your beaker off the heat source.
6
Keep stirring calmly for a little while as the mixture slowly cools down to room temperature. Then pour it into a roomy mixing bowl, ready for the next step.
7
Put the mixing bowl in the freezer and check after a few minutes. The mixture is ready to whip up as soon as it feels semi-firm, but still gives way softly when you press into it with your finger. Depending on your freezer and the size of your bowl this can take between 5 and 10 minutes. Too firm is not a problem either, then you leave it on the counter for a moment until it softens up again.
8
Take the bowl out of the freezer and whip the mixture up airy with a hand mixer. You will see the butter slowly turn into a soft, cloud-like cream, just like whipped cream.
9
Now add Phase B, the Bamboo Scrub Powder, and mix it calmly through the whipped butter until the grains are nicely distributed. Do not mix for too long, otherwise you lose the airiness.
10
Finally, add Phase C, your Vanilla CO2 Extract and Vitamin E Oil. Mix these carefully through until everything is well distributed, the sweet vanilla now comes through lovely amongst the coffee.
11
If necessary, put the bowl back in the freezer briefly and whip up again. Repeat these two steps until you have the airy, fluffy texture that makes you happy.
12
Carefully spoon your cleansing scrub into a beautiful glass jar, write a sweet label on your creation and give it a day of rest before you start using it. Your own home-made coffee-vanilla cleanser, ready to pamper your skin with.

Usage

Scoop a small amount out of the jar, about half a teaspoon, and spread it over your dry face. Massage gently in circular movements, avoiding the eye contour. Then wet your fingers and keep massaging for a moment, the oil now turns into a creamy milk. Rinse off with lukewarm water and pat your face dry.
