Instructions

Heat the demineralised water in a measuring cup or melting pot.

At the same time, heat the Shea Butter, Sweet Almond Oil, Vegetal Montanov and Cetyl Alcohol in a measuring cup or melting pot.

Mix the glycerine and xanthan gum in a small bowl into a paste.

Once the water and the oil are both 70 degrees, take the pots off the heat.

Add the oil to the water while stirring.

If you have used melting pots, pour the mixture over into a glass or measuring cup.

Now add the Glycerine with Xanthan Gum and stir it through with a mini whisk or electric mini mixer.

Keep stirring until the mixture is below 40 degrees, doing this over an ice bath if necessary.

Once it is below 40 degrees you add the preservative. Stir well again.

Add the Vitamin E oil and stir.

Add the Essential Oil and stir.

Measure the pH and make sure it is at 5.5. Please note, you will have to dilute the cream in a separate bowl for the correct measurement - see this tutorial for how to do this.

Pour over into a jar and place in the fridge for an hour and your night cream is ready.

Please note: Some emulsifiers need a day to stabilise, so your cream or lotion will look even better tomorrow.
