Make sure your supplies are ready and that everything is clean.

Measure out each phase in a separate measuring cup or container. Make sure both phases are well mixed.

Combine Phase A and Phase B. It is normal for it to clump. Let the mixture stand for a few hours or overnight, stirring occasionally to distribute the gum evenly through the liquid.

It will become opaque and thick. This indicates that both phases are fully combined. If you still see lumps of gum, let it stand for a few more minutes and stir occasionally.

Measure the pH. Use an acid such as lactic acid to lower the pH or a base such as sodium bicarbonate to raise it until you have reached the desired pH of 5.0 to 5.5.

Put it into a clean pump bottle and label your creation.
