Description

What is Rosemary Water?

Rosemary water is a hydrosol derived from the leaf of Rosmarinus officinalis. This refreshing water is obtained by steam distillation of the dried leaves of the Rosemary plant. Rosmarinus Officinalis is a perennial herbaceous plant and is originally found in the Mediterranean region. Rosemary water has a refreshing effect on the skin and cares for hair and scalp. It is a great product for both your skin and your hair.

Benefits of Rosemary Water

Against skin aging

Rosemary water contains many flavonoids and phenolic acids. It may sound logical, but rosmarinic acid is the most active substance in this hydrosol. Rosmarinic acid is a very powerful antioxidant that in pure form is able to protect other oils against oxidation. You can find the concentrated variant here. In this hydrosol, rosmarinic acid helps protect the skin against free radicals. Rosemary water is therefore highly suitable for mature skin.

Cares for hair
Rosemary has been used in hair care rituals for centuries. It is known for its refreshing scent and is often used in hair waters and rinses to care for and refresh the hair. It thus nourishes the hair and scalp.

Softens the skin
Rosemary water has a mild, aromatic effect and can be used as a refreshing mist for the skin. It helps keep the skin clean and balanced, even for sensitive skin.

How do you use Rosemary Water?

Body & face mist

Use Rosemary water as a refreshing body & face mist. It calms the skin and the scent of Rosemary helps you think clearly again.

Hair lotion/shampoo

Spray Rosemary water on your scalp and massage in. Rosemary water refreshes your scalp and is a nice base for your DIY hair care. And as a win-win, your hair also smells amazing!

Tonic

Use Rosemary water after cleansing your skin as a tonic to balance the skin. Apply a little on a cotton pad and dab the skin or spray directly on the face.

What is so special about Rosemary Water?

Normally, the scent you smell is released from the flowers. With Rosemary, this is a bit different, as it is the leaves that smell so wonderful.
