Coconut-based
Leucidal® SF Complete is created by fermenting coconut with Lactobacillus. Coconut oil has been used for centuries. Coconut oil consists largely of MCTs 'medium chain triglycerides'.
Moisturizing
What makes Leucidal® SF Complete unique is that besides being preserving, it also has moisturizing and hydrating properties. The product is perfect for use in skincare and hair products! Also suitable for sensitive skin, as Leucidal® SF Complete is mild. Always test your homemade product with Leucidal® SF Complete on a small patch of skin first, of course.
How to use it?
You add Leucidal® SF Complete to your homemade skincare product during the cooling phase (below 70 degrees Celsius). Make sure your final product has a pH value between 3 or 8 to keep Leucidal® SF Complete intact.
Optionally use some citric acid diluted in water to lower the pH value or some baking soda diluted with water to raise it. Test the pH value of your creation with a pH strip.
Leucidal® SF Complete dissolves in water and works together with xanthan gum (amount not higher than 1%).
Store in a dark place at room temperature between 10-25°C. Once opened, Leucidal® SF Complete stays good for 12 months.
What makes Leucidal® SF Complete so special?
Unlike other natural preservatives, Leucidal® SF Complete can be combined with a small amount of xanthan gum. The liquid also maintains the stability of your product and keeps your product fresher longer than most preservatives.
Many natural preservatives don't work well at a pH value higher than 5, while Leucidal® SF Complete remains effective up to a pH value of 8. Most importantly, Leucidal® SF Complete is virtually odorless, unlike the strong medicinal smell that some other natural preservatives have.
