What is Coconut-Apricot Wax?

Coconut-Apricot Wax is a plant-based candle wax made from coconut oil and apricot kernel oil. The wax is purified and blended with a small percentage of refined components for better performance in containers.

The scent is virtually neutral: clean and soft. This means the wax won't overpower your fragrance addition. The color is bright white, so dyes disperse beautifully and evenly.

Ideal for hand-poured scented candles in glass or ceramic. Use the wax as your complete base and add 6–8% fragrance oil or essential oil.

Strong scent throw
Coconut and apricot kernel wax absorb fragrance well. A candle smells wonderful cold and even better when burning.

Plant-based wax burns at a lower temperature than paraffin. This reduces soot formation and provides a stable flame with the right wick.

The wax remains slightly flexible after cooling. This gives excellent adhesion to the container wall and minimizes white streaks along the glass.

With its low melting point, the wax melts quickly. This saves time and energy, especially with larger batches.

The blend is designed for container candles. This delivers predictable drying times and consistent finish, batch after batch.

How to use Coconut-Apricot Wax?

Melting: Melt the wax in a double boiler or melting pot to 70–75 °C. Stir gently and avoid overheating.

Adding fragrance: Add 6–8% fragrance oil or essential oil at 70–75 °C and stir for 2 minutes. Maximum 10%.

Pouring: Let the wax cool to 60–65 °C and pour slowly into clean, dry containers. Pre-warm the containers if you want better adhesion. Leave 0.5–1 cm space to the rim.

Wicks: Choose the wick based on your container diameter. Always test: up to about 7.5 cm diameter, one wick works, above that often two or three. Trim the wick to 5 mm before each burn.

Curing: Let candles stand for at least 24 hours before moving them. For best scent and burning: cure for 48–72 hours.

Storage: Store the wax cool and dry, below 24 °C and away from direct sunlight.
