Description

What is Colloidal Oat Powder?

Colloidal Oat (avena sativa kernel flower) is a grain packed with nutrients. With Colloidal Oat Powder you can make the finest DIY skincare products for your skin.

Benefits

Cleanses impure skin

Colloidal Oat Powder is rich in minerals and vitamins, such as manganese, phosphorus, magnesium, copper, iron and zinc, and vitamins B1, B9 and B12. In addition, oats are rich in beta-glucans: fibers that dissolve in water to form a kind of gel.

Soothes rough and dry skin

Oats contain various types of antioxidants, including avenanthramide, an antioxidant unique to oats. This antioxidant makes oats especially soothing for the skin.

Hydrates the skin

Oats can soothe dry, red and sensitive skin. Oat Powder contains fats, proteins and carbohydrates that deeply hydrate the skin.

Our colloidal oat powder is also known as oat silk because of its silky texture and feel on the skin. The powder has a micro size of 50 microns, making it ideal for use in creams and lotions. In addition, the powder contains 7% lipids and 12% proteins that soften and strengthen the skin.

How do you use it?

Use Oat Powder in DIY skincare products, such as creams, lotions, masks and a soothing bath.

Colloidal Oat Powder works at a pH between 3.0-8.0

Amounts:
1-3% in creams and lotions
5-15% in make-up
1-10% in masks and powder cleansers

Note: Do not heat Colloidal Oat Powder above 75 degrees.
