What is Sandalwood Essential Oil?
Sandalwood Essential Oil is one of the first scents that was used as perfume. This probably makes you curious about the scent. Sandalwood Essential Oil has a rich, sweet, woody, warm scent.

Base notes form the foundation of a blend. They develop slowly and remain present for hours to days. Sandalwood is one of the most valuable base notes in perfumery, beloved for its warm, creamy, meditative depth that makes other scents last longer.
The oil is distilled from wood chips of 'Santalum Spicatum' and is one of the thickest essential oils that exist. If you hold the bottle with the oil under warm water for a few minutes, the oil will become somewhat thinner.

Mix 1 to 2 drops with a Carrier Oil (such as Almond Oil or Jojoba Oil) and massage this on your wrists. Let the fine scent then do its work as perfume.
Place 1 to 2 drops of oil in the water reservoir of a diffuser and spread the delightful scents through your space this way.
Skin care
As you can read, Sandalwood Essential oil is also suitable as skin care. What makes it special is that it's suitable for all skin types.
Place 1 to 2 drops of oil in a Carrier Oil, for example Jojoba Oil and massage it gently into the facial skin or a spot you want to care for. The caring and purifying properties of the Sandalwood Essential Oil now come into their own.
What is unique about the Sandalwood Essential Oil?
That is surely the delightful, warm, woody scent that this oil has. It wasn't used as perfume in Antiquity for nothing and nowadays for example during meditation. Purely because the scent is extremely suitable for this. The thickness of the oil is also unique, which some people experience as pleasant when they use it in combination with a Carrier Oil as skin care.
