Get a large mixing bowl, a whisk, a fine-mesh sieve and an airtight storage container of at least 2.5 liters ready. Make sure everything is completely dry, including your scale and work surface. Moisture is the biggest enemy of this powder.

Weigh out all ingredients carefully. Put on a dust mask, as fine powders tend to become airborne and you don't want them in your lungs.

Add all the powders together in the mixing bowl and mix thoroughly for at least 2 minutes with the whisk. Scrape the bottom and sides to ensure no layers remain.

Would you like to add a scent? If so, mix the essential oil into the GreenFoam powder first until you no longer see any wet spots. This prevents lumps and ensures the fragrance is evenly distributed throughout the powder.

Sift the mixture all at once into your storage jar. This breaks up any remaining lumps and ensures your powder is perfectly even.

Close the jar airtight straight away and label it with the name, dosage and date. Done! You now have 2 kilos of laundry powder, good for around 50 washes.

Usage
Use about 40 grams per wash. Tip: an old protein powder scoop is perfect for this, weigh it once and you will always know exactly how much you need. With hard water or a very dirty load, add half a scoop extra. Wash at 60 degrees for the best oxygen bleach results. Only for white and light laundry, as percarbonate fades coloured fabrics over repeated washes. Not for wool or silk, and never combine with chlorine bleach. Keep your jar bone dry and tightly closed.
