Instructions
Weigh the demineralised water (or hydrosol of your choice) into a clean glass measuring beaker.
While stirring, slowly sprinkle the hyaluronic acid powder onto the surface of the water. Cover the beaker and let the mixture hydrate for at least 2 to 4 hours (refrigerator recommended), until a smooth, clear gel forms without lumps.
Add the Preservative Eco 1388 to the serum and stir well until the whole is homogeneous.
Check the pH; it should be between 5.0 and 5.5. This pH is not only the nicest for your skin, but also ensures that the preservative can do its job optimally.
Use a 10% solution (in demineralised water) of citric acid to lower the pH or a 10% solution of baking soda (in demineralised water) to raise it.
Always add a maximum of 1 drop at a time, stir well and wait at least 1 minute before measuring again. The pH does not react immediately, so take your time to check before adding another drop.
With 100 g of serum, 1 drop changes the pH on average by about 0.1–0.15 pH points. Work carefully and avoid adjusting too much.
Fill the serum into a clean pump bottle and store cool and dark. You can also keep it in the refrigerator.
Usage
Cleanse your face and use a toner if desired. Pump a little onto your hand and spread it over your face. Then apply your favourite cream, moisturiser or oil and finish with a balm.
