Make sure all your tools and equipment are ready and that everything is properly clean.

Measure out each phase separately into a separate beaker or container. Make sure the allantoin is well dissolved in the liquid you are using.

Combine Phase A and Phase B. It is normal for it to clump. Let the mixture sit for a few hours while stirring occasionally to distribute the gum evenly through the liquid.

It will turn opaque and thick. This is a sign that both phases have fully combined. If you still see lumps of gum, let it sit for a few more minutes and stir occasionally.

Add the remaining phases and stir well.

Measure the pH. Use an acid such as lactic acid solution to lower the pH or a base such as sodium bicarbonate solution to raise it until you reach the desired pH of 5.0 to 5.5.

Put it into a clean bottle with a pump and label your creation.

Usage

After cleansing and toning, pump a generous amount onto your fingertips and gently massage it onto your face and neck. If you have extremely dry skin, you can apply a face cream afterwards to lock in the moisture.
