What is Tonka Bean Absolute?

Tonka Bean Absolute is extracted from the seeds of the tonka tree. The jar contains a thick, dark paste that becomes liquid as soon as you warm it slightly. A small amount is enough.

How do you use Tonka Bean Absolute?

Perfume oil: 0.3–1% in a Carrier Oil like jojoba. Stir well.

Body butter or cream: 0.1–0.5%, add when the formula has cooled. Never pure on the skin.

Room spray: 1% in alcohol or a ready-made fragrance base. Shake before use.

Candles and wax melts: 0.5–1% through the fragrance component. Test how strong the scent comes out.

Note: naturally contains coumarin. Maximum 1% in cosmetics, always dilute and do a patch test first.
