More about lavender water

Lavender is beloved worldwide for the divine scent of the plant and naturally the hydrosol extracted from the flowers also smells heavenly: floral, sweet and honey-like. This alone makes lavender water an essential addition to your skincare collection. Additionally, this floral water has the special property of calming, softening and purifying the skin. Lavender water is therefore ideal to use as a toner or face and body mist.

Lavender water is a product from steam distillation of the flowers, a process that is also used to obtain essential oil. Lavender water is milder on the skin than orange blossom water and is therefore suitable for all skin types, including dry/sensitive skin.

Use

Lavender water is best used pure on your skin. Use it for example after cleansing your face as a toner or in your hair for wonderfully scented locks. Of course, you can also use lavender water in DIY lotions, masks, soap or shampoo instead of plain water. Lavender water is also a wonderful addition when you're having a relaxing bath. Tip: for extra hydration, mix a small amount of glycerine with lavender water to retain extra moisture on the skin.
