Glass Brown Apothecary Jar

Looking for beautiful packaging for your salves or herbs? These empty glass jars with screw lids are essential when you start making your own cosmetics. We have them in 3 sizes, 30 ml, 60 ml and 120 ml. All three are supplied with a fine sturdy black screw cap.

What is so special about Glass Jar (Brown)

The brown color is also called amber and not only looks super trendy in your bathroom, it also has a special function. The amber glass blocks UV radiation. With white glass, UVB radiation is blocked, but UVA radiation is not stopped. As much as 50% of this radiation passes through the glass.

UVA radiation is responsible for oxidation. Oxidation causes skin aging on our skin. Essential oils and carrier oils can also oxidize from UVA exposure. This is something you want to avoid as much as possible. Oxidation causes your creations to smell bad because they become rancid. In addition, oxidation sometimes causes the formation of free radicals. These contribute to skin inflammation. In short, we want to prevent this at all times.
The amber-colored glass protects your creations not only against UVB radiation, UVA radiation is also blocked. This keeps the contents preserved longer, so you can enjoy your homemade product for a long time.
