Relax with Epsom salt

Epsom salt is also known as bitter salt or magnesium sulfate. Magnesium is an important mineral for many processes in our body, but particularly for the proper functioning of your nerves and muscles. Epsom salt baths offer a solution! When the Epsom salt is dissolved in water, the magnesium can be well absorbed through your skin and enters your body where it can fulfill its important task again.

Particularly with stiff muscles, Epsom salt in your bath water can be a solution! It relaxes and softens your muscles. It also helps support your skin. Don't have a bathtub? No problem, if you use the Epsom salt as a scrub it also works, or you can use it in a foot bath.

How you can use Epsom salt

For a wonderfully relaxing bath, add 300 grams of Epsom salt to a full bath. Stay in the bath water for at least 10 minutes. Add a few drops of lavender essential oil for extra relaxation.

As a scrub under the shower, take as much Epsom salt in your hand as you think you need and scrub with the salt over your moist skin. Pay extra attention to areas where your muscles are tired. Epsom salt is also suitable for gently scrubbing your face.

For a foot bath, add half a cup of Epsom salt to a foot bath with warm water. Let your feet soak in the water for 10 minutes and dry off. Wonderful for tired feet!
