Essential oils are little Natural Heroes in a bottle. They're pure, undiluted oils that come from plants. Using steam distillation or cold-pressing, oil is extracted from things like fruits, blossoms, seeds, twigs and roots. This oil often has a powerful scent and, because it's volatile, evaporates quickly. What's released is a lovely aroma!
Of course you can blend a few of your favourite oils to suit your own taste. But if you take the 'notes', meaning the tones of the oil, into account, you might just conjure up an even nicer blend that you'll enjoy even more!
You can put a blend in an aroma diffuser to set the mood in a room. Of course you can also mix a blend with a carrier oil, for example, and use it for body care. Or in a DIY, naturally!
And because it's almost Halloween, we've got 3 lovely blends with an 'autumnal Halloween touch' for you, featuring things like cinnamon and ginger! Perfect for your Halloween movie night, for example.

The easiest way to put together a blend is to choose one essential oil for each note.
An aroma is made up of 3 notes:
Top notes These evaporate the fastest! Within roughly one to 2 hours. Examples: Citrus oils, Lavender, Peppermint, Basil and Eucalyptus.
Middle notes As the name suggests, these notes linger for a medium length of time, around 2 to 4 hours.
Examples: Tea Tree, Chamomile, Cinnamon Bark, Spruce, Rosemary and Thyme.
Base notes Base notes take the longest to evaporate, sometimes even a few days.
Examples: Cedarwood, Ginger, Sandalwood, Vanilla and Vetiver.
Below we've got 3 blends for you to put in your aroma diffuser, to give your home a warm atmosphere or to give yourself a lift when you need it. Also perfect for your Halloween movie night! Add the drops to the diffuser's water reservoir and enjoy.
