What is Tapioca Starch?
Tapioca starch is a fine, white powder made from the starch in the root of the cassava plant (Manihot esculenta), a tropical crop commonly found in South America, Africa and Asia.

How to use Tapioca Starch?
Tapioca starch provides a soft skin feel, reduces a sticky or greasy finish from oils and butters and absorbs excess sebum.
This makes it ideal for:
Creams and body butters: makes the formula less greasy and absorbs faster.
Deodorants: absorbs sweat and improves spreadability.
Powders and makeup: as a filler or fixing ingredient for a matte look.
Dry shampoos: refreshes hair without water.
Tapioca starch is not soluble in water or oil. It remains as a powder in the formula and must be well distributed to prevent lumps.
