What is Coco-Glucoside?

Glucoside is a palm oil free plant-based surfactant. It is mainly used to achieve foam formation in hair and skin products. It is a non-ionic surface-active substance. This means a cleansing substance that loosens dirt and dissolves it in water. It is made from coconut oil and glucose (corn starch), is biodegradable and safe for the environment. Coco-Glucoside produces abundant foam and is therefore a perfect choice as an ingredient for foaming bath products and shower gels. It is a light yellow to yellow syrupy substance at room temperature.

What are the benefits of Coco-Glucoside?

Gentle cleansing

Coco-Glucoside is gentle cleansing and therefore very suitable in products for daily use.

Coco-Glucoside creates a rich and dense foam and is therefore very good to use in various foaming DIY products

How do you use Coco-Glucoside?

You can use Coco-Glucoside alone or together with other surfactants, if for example you want a stronger cleansing effect. If you combine it with other surfactants you can mix it directly, heating is not necessary.

Add Coco-Glucoside to the oil phase of your recipe:

• 2-10% in a facial cleanser

• 15-30% in a foaming shower gel, bubble bath or shampoo

The pH range is 3-11 and can therefore be used in virtually any product. Make sure the pH value of your finished product comes out to 5-5.5. Adjust if necessary with citric acid or baking soda.

Store cool, dry, dark and in a well-closed packaging.
