What is Arnica Oil?
Arnica Oil is made from Arnica Montana extract and almond oil. Arnica Montana extract is a plant extract* that comes from the flowers of the mountain arnica. Arnica Oil is a macerate. This means it is a herbal infusion of the plant in a vegetable oil. This extraction method uses no chemicals.
*Our Arnica Oil contains 20% Arnica Montana Extract that is infused in 80% Organic Sweet Almond Oil.
Arnica Montana is a medicinal plant and rich in flavonoids, carotenoids and essential oils. It is a hardy perennial plant with cheerful, yellow flowers, which you can find high in the mountains.
What are the benefits of Arnica Oil?
Arnica Oil provides wonderfully relaxed muscles, has a stimulating effect on blood circulation and supports the skin's regenerative capacity.
How do you use Arnica Oil?
Massage oil
You can use Arnica Oil pure or diluted as a massage oil. Also great after your intensive workout to relax the muscles.
Skin oil
Apply Arnica Oil generously after a long shower and enjoy velvety soft skin all day long.
What is so special about Arnica Oil?
The name Arnica Montana possibly comes from the Greek word 'Arnakis' which means lamb skin or lamb's fleece. This refers to the lovely, soft 'fleece' of the flowers. Montana means 'in the mountains', which is where they usually grow.
In the Netherlands we call it valkruid, exactly what it was always used for, falls!
