Guidelines for writing a review

To help you get started, we have gathered a few tips to easily write a review that is useful, honest, and enjoyable to read. Additionally, a nice photo or video can make your review even stronger. Follow our handy checklist and your review will be online in no time!

Checklist for the perfect review

Textual review

• Clear title: summarise your experience in a few words

• User experience: How did you use the product? (Frequency, application)

• Result: what did you find good or less good?

• Comparison: How does it compare to other products you have tried?

• Durability: how long does it last?

• Details: Describe scent, texture, packaging, or other features.

• Personal circumstances: are there specific skin or hair conditions that are relevant?

• Recommendation: Would you recommend the product to others?

Photo review

• Clear photo: Bright and sharp, preferably in good (day)light

• Before and after photo: Show the effect of the product, if possible

• Product photo: Clearly show the product (for example, a photo of the product with its consistency, how you use it, or how you incorporated it into a recipe)

• Application: Photo of the product in use (for example, on the skin)

Video review

• Introduction: Briefly tell which product you are using and why

• Demonstration: Show how you apply or use the product

• Before and after: Show results before and after use (if possible)

• Clear audio: make sure you are easily understandable

• Short duration: Keep the video informative, short, and concise

• Good lighting: Ensure natural light and a realistic representation.

What components must a review contain to be approved?

We appreciate every review, but to ensure that other customers are truly helped, reviews must meet a few basic requirements. Follow these guidelines to ensure that your review is posted and the Earth Coins are awarded.

Your review will be posted if it:

• Is clearly and fully written: your review contains relevant information with details about how you used the product, what you thought of it, and why.

• Is helpful to others: your review assists other customers in making a decision. Consider user experience, results, and any tips for use.

• Is sincere and honest: we value openness and honesty, so indicate what you really think of the product. Both positive and critical feedback are welcome.

Your review will not be posted if it:

• Is too short or incomplete: Reviews such as "Good product" or "Not satisfied" without further explanation will not be posted. Make sure to describe your experience in detail.

• Contains poor quality photos or videos: Only high-quality photos and videos that are sharp, relevant, and informative will be accepted.

• Does not provide clear information about the product: If the photos or videos do not clearly show what the product is, how it works, or how it is used, we cannot post the review. Photos or videos that only show the packaging without further explanation will not be accepted.

• Lacks commentary with the video: A video that only shows the product without further explanation or demonstration will not be posted.
