Instructions
Make sure your workspace is calm and clean before you start.
Put a layer of water in a thick-bottomed pan on the heat and bring it to the boil.
Hang a melting pan in it or place a measuring beaker in it.
Start by melting the Candelilla wax.
Once the wax has melted completely you can add the Shea Butter to it and let it melt in gently.
Now you can already combine the essential oils with each other in a separate small measuring beaker. You can now also immediately smell whether you like this scent. Want something fresher? Then add a few extra drops of Bergamot. Want something sweeter, then add a few extra drops of Vanilla. Want something more floral, then add a few extra drops of Rosewood. It is better to leave the rest the same in this blend.
Once the butter has fully dissolved, add the Jojoba Oil to the mixture. Stir this in well.
Let the mixture cool down to about 60 degrees. If you let it get colder there is a chance that it will solidify too much and end up less nicely in your tin.
Finally, add your scent blend to the mixture and stir it in quickly.
Pour your beard balm into a 30ml tin and put it straight into the refrigerator to cool back down. We do this to ensure that the essential oils are not warm for too long.
Usage
Take a small amount of balm and warm it between your fingers until the scent is released. Carefully massage the balm into a clean, towel-dry beard and the underlying skin. Then style your beard into shape. Use daily or as desired for a nourished, perfectly styled beard.
