Instructions

1
Weigh out the ingredients from phase B neatly and mix them together.
2
Fill a pan with boiling water and leave it on a warming plate or very low heat. Make sure the water does not start bubbling, because this water could end up in your lotion.
3
Place the cup with the ingredients from phase A in the water bath and set a timer for 5 minutes.
4
Now also place the cup with the ingredients from phase B in the water bath. Heat both mixtures until they are 70 degrees.
5
Once both mixtures are 70 degrees you can mix them together. Add the oil mixture to the water mixture and mix both parts together while stirring.
6
Your lotion is still very thin now, this is normal. It will thicken further as you cool it.
7
Cool your lotion down further to below 40 degrees. You will see that it has now become a bit thicker.
8
Measure the pH of your lotion and adjust it where necessary. The pH value should be around 5.5.
9
Is the pH too low? Then raise it with a Baking Soda solution (1 part Baking Soda, 9 parts Demineralised Water).
10
Is the pH too high? Then adjust it with a Citric Acid solution (1 part Citric Acid with 9 parts Demineralised water).
11
Mix the Orange Blossom Water and the Demineralised water together in a measuring cup and stir well until everything is mixed.
12
Measure the pH of your lotion again.
13
Now add the Coconut CO2 extract to your lotion and stir well.
14
Pour your homemade Body Lotion into a bottle with a dispenser. The Olivem 1000 always needs a day to thicken a bit and stabilise. Is your lotion still a little thin? This will look different tomorrow.
15
Store your homemade Body Lotion in the fridge or in a dark and cool place. Rub your body generously with the lotion whenever you like.
16
Mix all the ingredients from phase A together in a measuring cup and stir well until everything is mixed.
