Description
What is Orange Peel Powder?
Orange Peel Powder is finely ground, dried peel from the orange. The powder is light orange to yellow and feels softly granular. It doesn't dissolve in water, but mixes easily through dry or oily formulas.
The scent is fresh and sunny, as if you just peeled an orange: sweet-citrus with a small bitter note from the zest. That makes any DIY product immediately cheerful.
The powder works as a gentle scrub and naturally contains fruit acids and antioxidants. These help release dead skin cells and keep the skin fresh. Handy in scrubs, face masks, soaps, bath salt and bath bombs.
What are the benefits of Orange Peel Powder?
Gentle exfoliation. The fine particles provide a mild scrub that loosens dry flakes without scraping. That makes the skin smoother and softer.
More glow. Natural fruit acids help refresh dull skin by making dead skin cells disappear faster. You get a fresher look.
Helps reduce shine. The fiber-rich peel takes away some excess sebum and impurities. Nice for oily or combination skin.
Antioxidant boost. Rich in vitamin C and bioflavonoids that help neutralize free radicals. Helps the skin look fresh and healthy.
Lovely fresh scent. The natural citrus scent makes scrubs, bath salt and soaps extra uplifting. No perfume needed.
Color and texture in one. Gives a soft, warm tint and light scrub texture to soaps and scrubs. Natural look without synthetic colorant.
Simple and pure. 100% peel, without additives. Fits in minimalistic DIY formulas.
How do you use Orange Peel Powder?
Face mask: Use 2–3% of the total formula. Mix the powder with clay and hydrosol into a paste, apply, leave for 5–10 minutes and gently rinse off.
Body scrub: Use 4–5% in an oil or gel scrub, add in the cool phase. Massage briefly and rinse off.
Soap (CP/HP or M&P): Use 1–3% of the batch. First disperse in a little oil or water and add at trace or when the base is liquid and hand-warm.
Bath salt and bath bombs: Use 1–3% through the dry mix. Mix well for an even color and scent.
Tip & safety: The powder is insoluble in water, so always mix well through the formula. Do a patch test first, avoid the eye area and don't use on damaged skin. Citrus allergy? Skip this ingredient. Exfoliating makes the skin temporarily more sensitive; use SPF during the day.
What makes Orange Peel Powder so special?
The peel contains more antioxidants than the fruit pulp, so a little bit of powder gives your DIY natural scent, subtle color and a gentle scrub at the same time. Three functions in one simple ingredient.
