Eucalyptus essential oil is obtained from the fresh leaves of the tall, evergreen 
eucalyptus tree. The eucalyptus tree originally comes from Australia, but nowadays also grows in other parts of the world.
You probably know the scent of eucalyptus from the well-known vaporub jars. An important property of eucalyptus is that it has a purifying effect and a positive impact on the respiratory tract. Eucalyptus essential oil is therefore a must have for winter! How about DIY vaporub?
For shiny hair and a nourished scalp, eucalyptus is also a valuable addition. The active ingredients in eucalyptus essential oil help strengthen hair follicles and promote blood circulation, making your hair stronger. It also helps care for a dry scalp. Win-win!
The skin-supporting properties of eucalyptus essential oil help reduce pimples and impurities for an even skin.
Eucalyptus essential oil is also wonderful in a massage oil for tired muscles. It stimulates blood circulation and therefore helps recover faster after exertion.
Use
Always dilute essential oil in a carrier oil or butter when using on your skin, such as almond oil, coconut oil or shea butter, and use no more than 1% (1ml essential oil per 100ml carrier oil/butter).
Apply the oil where needed on cleansed skin. For use on your scalp, you can also add a few drops of the eucalyptus essential oil to your shampoo or conditioner.
Use the essential oil in an oil burner/diffuser or scent block to spread the wonderful scent of Eucalyptus in the room. Eucalyptus oil can also be used well in a steam bath.
