Myrica Fruit Was (Bayberry)
Bayberry is unique in its kind. It has a relatively low melting point for a wax, somewhere between 45C and 55C degrees, but feels almost as hard as beeswax at room temperature. It gives the balm a silky smooth texture and a high luxurious spreadability.
Berry Was
Berry Wax is an exceptionally soft wax with a rich, yet powdery skin feel. As a co-emulsifier, Berry Wax ensures that the butters and oils in the balm mix excellently with each other. Additionally, it gives the balm a soft, fluffy texture that makes you happy.
Kokum Butter
Kokum butter is one of the hardest vegetable butters and is a non-drying butter. Non-drying butters absorb slowly and leave a layer on the skin. Even though Kokum Butter does not absorb quickly, it does not feel greasy. Ideal for a face balm.
Shea Butter
Shea Butter is one of the best choices for treating dry, irritated, and allergy-sensitive skin types. It has the special ability to reduce redness and to restore and strengthen the lipid (barrier) layer. An indispensable component of the balm.
Jojoba Oil
In terms of texture, Jojoba Oil is quite special. The oil does not feel greasy, is odorless, and helps regulate the sebum on the skin. Did you know that Jojoba Oil is technically not an oil, but a liquid wax? It even resembles our skin's own sebum. It is, therefore, a delightful addition to our balm.
Chia seed oil
This lightweight oil (extracted from the well-known superfood) helps in the regeneration of damaged skin and in repairing the lipid barrier. This results in less moisture loss through the skin, an improvement in hydration, and an overall improvement in the skin barrier function.
Rice Bran Oil
This slightly cloudy golden yellow oil contains a lot of vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant that can help protect the skin against substances and external influences. Vitamin E promotes the skin's immune system and helps reduce signs of aging.
Calendula Oil
Calendula Oil soothes rough and chapped skin and is therefore ideal for people who spend a lot of time outdoors, exposed to the elements. The oil is beneficial for dry and sensitive skin and is even suitable for use on the skin of babies.
Vitamin E Oil Tocopherol
This golden-yellow oil (extracted from sunflower oil) is a strong antioxidant and actually an essential addition to the balm. It ensures that the oils in this balm stay good longer and do not become rancid. Additionally, it is also a great addition for your skin.
Vanilla CO2 extract (12% Vanillin)
The scent of our fresh Vanilla CO2 is reminiscent of freshly baked cakes. It cannot be compared to synthetic vanilla perfume but truly smells like fresh vanilla pods. We love it, and that's why it's in our balm.
