What is D-Panthenol (Provitamine B5)?

D-Panthenol is the water-soluble provitamine B5. It is a clear, colorless to light yellow, viscous liquid that is virtually odorless.

Hair: 0.5-2% in shampoo or conditioner, 0.5-1% in a care spray. Stir in at room temperature or after cooling.

Gels and sprays: 0.5-2% dissolved in water or hydrosol. Work cleanly and always preserve watery formulas.

Nails: 0.5-1% in a hand cream or water-based nail serum. Massage in daily for softer nail cuticles.

Tip: Panthenol is completely water-soluble and does not mix with oils. Make a small water solution and add it to your emulsion recipe.

What makes D-Panthenol (Provitamine B5) so special?

This is the D-form, the biologically active version of panthenol. DL-panthenol is a mix where half is less active. With D-Panthenol you get more results from the same dosage, without fragrance or oil.
