What is Copaiba Essential Oil?

Copaiba Essential Oil is extracted from the resin of the Copaifera tree from the Amazon region. The resin is sustainably tapped without cutting down the tree and then gently distilled into a clear oil.

The scent is warm woody and lightly sweet balsamic and therefore calming and enveloping.

Thanks to its high content of beta-caryophyllene, Copaiba has a calming and mildly purifying effect on the skin. Ideal for DIY serums, balms, massage oil or in the diffuser.

How do you use Copaiba Essential Oil?

Face: 2 to 5 drops in 30 ml base (0.2–0.5%). Add in the cool phase (below 40°C).

Body: 10 to 20 drops per 100 ml oil or lotion. Apply to slightly damp skin.

Hair: 3 to 6 drops in 100 ml shampoo or hair oil. Massage in, leave on briefly and rinse out.

Diffuser: 3 to 6 drops. Combines nicely with orange, cedar or vetiver.

Note: Always dilute, maximum 1% on the skin, never apply undiluted.
