What is Flaxseed Oil (Organic & Cold-Pressed)?

Flaxseed oil is rich in omega-3 and a versatile oil for the kitchen and skincare. Add some of the oil to your salad, incorporate it into DIY skincare products or use it as a hair mask.

Our Flaxseed Oil is cold-pressed using an oil mill from flaxseeds, the seeds of flax (Linum usitatissimum). The oil has a neutral scent and a light nutty flavor.

Flaxseed is rich in omega-3, a fatty acid that plays an important role in preventing premature skin aging. Unlike many other oils, such as sunflower oil, which contain mainly omega-6, Flaxseed Oil consists of approximately 60% omega-3 fatty acids. Flaxseed Oil is therefore a wonderful ingredient to increase your omega-3 intake and nourish and brighten your skin from within. In addition to slowing skin aging, Flaxseed Oil is a lovely oil for the kitchen and your DIY skincare.

Hydrates and softens the skin

The essential fatty acids in Flaxseed Oil keep your skin hydrated and supple, which reduces the visibility of fine lines and signs of skin aging. Additionally, the oil has soothing properties that can reduce redness.

Cares for hair

Flaxseed Oil contains lots of vitamin E and cares for hair and scalp. The nourishing properties make the oil ideal for dry hair and hair that breaks easily. Warm the oil in a bain-marie and give your scalp a nice massage, distribute the oil through the rest of your hair, let it sit for an hour and wash your hair as you normally do.

How to use it?

In the kitchen

Flaxseed Oil is delightful to use in dressings and sauces, but you can also add a teaspoon to your smoothie to easily enjoy Flaxseed Oil. Flaxseed Oil is not suitable for baking, as it does not handle heat well.

For the face

Warm a few drops of Flaxseed Oil between your hands and apply to cleansed skin for deep hydration, or incorporate the oil into DIY skincare products.
