Description

What is Olivem 2090

Olivem 2090 combines the good properties of olive oil with another substance called polyricinoleic acid to create a mixture that works very well as an emulsifier, which means it helps to keep mixtures of oil and water stable. At the same time, it ensures that the skin is well hydrated and feels pleasant.

Benefits of Olivem 2090

Suitable for the cold process method

This ingredient is specially designed to make creating your own creams and lotions as easy as possible. You don't need to heat your mixture before emulsifying it. However, you must add the water drop by drop while stirring continuously. This requires some patience and you preferably use a mechanical mixer for this.

Nourishes the skin

Olivem 2090 hydrates deep into the skin. It is derived from natural sources and perfect for when you want to be kind to your skin and the planet.

Feels light and soft

Say goodbye to heavy, greasy creams. The end result feels light and silky soft on the skin, absolutely perfect for daily use.

How do you use it?

You add Olivem 2090 to the oil phase of your formula. Depending on the thickness of the cream or lotion you want to make, you add 2% to 4% to your recipe.

Use in Oil Cleanser

Make your own oil cleanser with Olivem 2090 and watch your oil serum transform into a milky substance when water is added! Simply add 3% Olivem 2090 to your recipe that consists entirely of oil and your oil cleanser is ready!

Use in water-based cream

If you want to use Olivem 2090 as a cold process emulsifier, you use 3% in your recipe. You add it to the oil phase of your cream, and add water drop by drop to emulsify it. You can make 30% to 40% of your formula consist of oil. You don't need to heat the phases beforehand. However, you do need a mixer that can mix quickly while you drip the water in drop by drop, otherwise it won't work.

Tip: Add a mix of glycerin(5%) and xanthan gum(0.2%) to your recipe for better stability

What is so special about Olivem 2090

With Olivem 2090 you don't need heating! You can add special botanical ingredients and heat-sensitive oils to your cream this way without being afraid that they will oxidize or get damaged. In addition, this is the only emulsifier that gives a super light and hydrating feeling on the skin.
