Avocado - a true superfood for your skin

It's no secret anymore that the avocado is a particularly versatile fruit. Avocados contain uniquely high amounts of minerals and are real vitamin powerhouses; they are a good source of potassium, magnesium, vitamin A, B1, B2, B6, C, E and folate (B11). Furthermore, this Central American fruit largely consists of monounsaturated fatty acids which are incredibly beneficial for your skin!

You can make delicious face masks with them, but working in the bathroom with pureed avocado is quite a hassle. Much easier is to use the oil that is extracted from the fruit pulp.

This unrefined & organic version of our avocado oil contains even more of the originally present vitamins, minerals and healthy fatty acids than non-organic avocado oil. Unrefined organic avocado oil also has a stronger scent and more colour.

The high amount of vitamin A and E in avocado oil act as powerful antioxidants and help with blemishes, boost collagen production and help prevent premature skin ageing. The oil contains plenty of a substance called sterolin, which particularly helps soften the skin.

Furthermore, it is an excellent moisturizer and softens your dry skin (including scalp). In addition, it is an ideal after sun treatment.

How can I use avocado oil?

You can best apply the oil after showering or on cleansed skin, so that the oil can absorb well and retain moisture for beautifully hydrated and nourished skin. Preferably before sleep, so that the oil can do its work at night, when your skin is recovering.

Use a small amount of the oil, if you like, also under your regular day or night cream and on areas that need extra attention, such as fine lines, age spots or dry areas. To use the oil as after sun, apply a thin layer to your skin immediately after sun exposure.

Mix the avocado oil with a maximum of 1% essential oil of your choice for a lovely scent!

If you want an intensive hair and scalp treatment for super soft hair, you can apply the oil to damp hair before bed and wash it out the next morning with shampoo. For a quicker boost, apply the oil just before showering to your hair ends and/or scalp, let it absorb briefly and then wash as usual.
