For the best result, soak the wooden candle wick in a little warm soy wax before trimming it to size and using it.

Melt the soy wax in a heatproof measuring cup or in a melting pan au bain-marie.

Add the coconut oil once the soy wax has melted.

Let the mixture cool back down to below 40 degrees.

Add the essential oils and stir through well.

If your mixture sets too much, you can warm it very gently again. Do not do this for too long, as the essential oils may evaporate.

Secure the wooden candle wick by pouring a little wax onto the bottom and placing the candle wick on it.

Pour the mixture into your glass jar and leave it to harden.
9
Leave the candle to cure for 24 hours before lighting it.
