Very Berry Lip & Face Balm

Pamper your face and lips with this wonderfully fruity balm based on all the lovely things fruit has to offer. Berry wax gives this balm a light and silky-soft finish. Mango butter softens the skin and lips without clogging them and works as a wonderful after-sun treatment.

Heat the berry wax au bain-marie until it has melted completely.

Take the pan off the heat and add the mango butter, melting it into the hot berry wax mixture.

Let the mixture cool down to below 40°C. Often it already is once you add the mango butter later.

Add the raspberry seed and the strawberry seed oil and stir well. If the berry wax starts to set too much, hold your pan briefly over your hot water bath to melt it again. Don't do this for too long, as the oils are sensitive to heat.

Add the oils from phase B and stir well. If the berry wax starts to set too much, hold your pan briefly over your hot water bath to melt it again. Don't do this for too long, as the oils from phase B are sensitive to heat.

Pour your lip balm into a lip balm tube or a 15 ml tin.

Let your lip balm cool down in the fridge. 10 to 15 minutes is often enough.

Store your lip balm in a cool, dry place. Going to the beach? Then throw your lip balm into your cool bag or somewhere that isn't so warm. Melted anyway? In a tin it will harden again on its own.
