What is Sucragel XL?

Sucragel XL is a natural oil thickener and cold-process emulsifier that directly converts oils into a clear, velvety soft gel. The scent is neutral and mild, allowing delicate botanical oils and essential oils to retain their own character. With approximately 15–20%, a firm, stable gel is already formed that is ideal for cleansers, oil balms, massage gels, scrubs and light masks.

On the skin, a Sucragel formula feels comfortable and supple. Glycerin acts as a powerful moisture binder, MCT oil softens the skin and the sugar esters cleanse without stripping. This keeps the skin fresh and clean without a tight feeling. Perfect for daily use and for sensitive skin types.

How do you use Sucragel XL?

Oil gel / gel-to-milk cleanser

Use 15–20% Sucragel XL.

Slowly add 80–85% oil under moderate to high shear (stick blender or mini mixer) until a clear, smooth gel is formed.

Add fragrances only at the end (0.3–1%) and mix gently.

O/W cream or lotion (cold process)

Use 5–10% Sucragel XL as emulsifier.

Suitable within pH 4–8.

Dosage guideline

15–25% depending on the desired viscosity.

Optionally process up to 80°C, but cold process is preferred.
