Description
What are Rose Petals?
These rose petals come from Rosa Damascena, cultivated in the heart of the famous Bulgarian Rose Valley. The petals are hand-picked early in the morning, just before sunrise when the fragrance is at its strongest, and then slowly dried at low temperature. This careful process preserves the fragrance, color and precious botanical compounds.
The Damascena rose has been cultivated in Bulgaria for more than three hundred years. The Rose Valley near Kazanlak is one of the few places on earth where climate and soil work together to produce roses of extraordinary aromatic depth. For generations, families here have passed down the art of rose harvesting, a tradition that revolves as much around patience and timing as around the flowers themselves.
In Ayurvedic tradition, rose is considered deeply cooling and soothing, a balm for both body and mind. It is associated with the heart chakra and traditionally used to relieve tension and bring emotional balance. In Persian and Turkish bathing culture, rose petals have been scattered in baths and steam rooms for centuries, both for their skin-softening qualities and for the sense of peace they bring.
The fragrance is soft and floral, with a gentle honey-sweet tone and a fresh undertone. The petals feel light and delicate, and carry a natural calming energy.
For the skin, rose petals can contribute to a softer, more comfortable skin feeling. They can reduce tightness and sensitivity. You can use them in facial toners, baths or to infuse oil. Also beautiful in DIY scrubs, masks and soap.
